For this project, we cast hundreds of cast replicas of the Kent School in Toronto, which was cited for demolition in 2012.  We asked participants to use the miniature school chalk replicas to write a message, to memorialize the school, even temporarily.   The festival actively marked the Kent school ground site for designation as an on-going public space. The project was an effort to claim the corner of Bloor and Dufferin and safeguard it for community use in forth-coming development proposals.
